bottled water

Need to know where I can purchase a case of Sta. Maria water in the Soloman Bay area. Will be travelling here from Cancun - will drivers usually be willing to stop briefly for just one purchase? Thank you.

I know Chedraui carries that product, and there's a Chedraui store at Puerto Morelos on the southbound side of the highway.

There's a 7-11 convenience store just past that Chedraui store. I can't confirm if they carry that product (they probably do), but the 7-111 would be a quicker & easier stop.

Chedraui and Walmart usually have it.

If you want to stop at either the transportation companies will usually do it if it's arranged ahead of time for something like $30-40 USD. You get a specific amount of time. I want to say 30 minutes but I'm not sure of it.

It can also be found at 7-11 and Oxxos's. Most private transportation companies will do a courtesy stop for line 5 minutes if you ask.

Here's a list of some reliable transfer services: Canada Transfers, USA Transfers, CARM, Happy Shuttle, AGI Tours, Kalido, Nexus, NAST.

Some of them have FAQs where you will find their policy & pricing regarding making stops along the way to your destination. Or ask them directly.

Your house in Soliman may actually have their own large water jugs--they should, anyway; most do. I would confirm that before going out and buying a case of plastic bottles. So easy to refill your own reusable water bottles rather than adding to the single-use plastic mess (I'm sure you wouldn't throw your bottles on the beach or anything, but it's still good to reduce overall).

If your house does not come with its own large water jug dispenser (again, I would be surprised if they don't), you can buy some medium-sized water jugs to the same end. Any of the stores mentioned above should have large jugs.
