Ferry to Watson Bay

We have done some search on Internet and It seems that there are 2 ferries from Circular Quay to Watson Bay: Eastern Suburb cost 5.8AUD and Fast Manly cost 9AUD. We wonder why the fare is different so much? Is Fast Manly much faster than Eastern Suburb? Apart from the price, what is the difference?

Also could you please let us know how to get to The Gap from Watson Bay wharf?

ferry fares based on distance band zones.

Eastern Suburb routes is on My Ferry 1-AUD5.80

Fast Manly is actually another independent operator-not with Sydney ferries.

On Sydney ferries ,to Manly is MyFerry2.

Fast Manly operate direct to Manly from Circular Quay for AUD9, but for Watson Bay, they do have their Eco Hopper, where Watson Bay is in their route-this ticket is AUD35 for 24 hours with HOHO on several points such as Watson Bay, Darling Harbour, Taronga Zoo,Luna Park to list but a few.

There are two walking paths from the wharf, both require around one hour for the round trip. From the wharf you can walk north past Lady Bay (see their nude beach) and on to South Head and see the Hornsby Lighthouse.

Alternatively, you can walk south past The Gap and take in Signal Station and Macquarie Lighthouse. See the site of the wreck of the Dunbar.

It takes about 10 mins to walk from Watsons Bay ferry wharf to the Gap, as Lien said straight up the hill through the park.
