Fishing from beach Rui Guanacaste

We are coming to Rui Gaustacaste late April to start of May.

Can you fish from shore?

If so where is best place and what tackle needed?

We also would like to go deep sea fishing as this is a big part of our holiday, could you recommend any boats please?

I presume it catch and release for bigger fish?

Also (sorry this is soooo long) our 18 year old girls would be going we hope would they ever stop to snorkel for a while?.

Thank you so much for your time

If you go to the Reviews section of your hotel on TA at https://www.tripadvisor.ca/Hotel_Review-g718… , you can Search for fishing to filter the reviews that mention it first. You will get quite a lot of recent reviews, incl. https:/…

https:/…CHECK_RATES_CONT and lots of others.

The Sea Bird has fishing poles that guests can use during snorkeling/sailing and sunset cruises but for Sport Fishing I recommend Dream On Sport fishing http://www.dreamonsportfishing.com/ and there isn't much snorkeling to do in the "middle of the Pacific Ocean" (haha) but I'm sure they wouldn't mind swinging by a reef for you to snorkel during your trip if you ask 'em! Make sure they know ahead of time so they bring the gear for ya!

The only places that I know of to buy fishing gear and stuff are in Playas del Coco. If you wanted to come to Coco from the Riu, they have shuttles by land and by boat (through ScubaCaribe.) Right now their land shuttles are $15 per person round trip and the ScubaCaribe water taxi is $20 per person round trip. Not sure if the costs will be more in 2018.
