Just finished our 4mnth trip round oz in a campervan

We just finished our 4mnth awesome trip around oz, we saw so many places, all from the comfort of our campervan.

If you do get the chance to travel oz, do it in a campervan, its the way to go.

The south coast of NSW has so much more to offer than the north coasts, just so peacefull and quiet, beautiful beachs, small pubs.

We started our trip in sydney, checked a couple of campervan rental places, most where expensive except for one called keen as campers, there campervans had evrything needed, the fridge freezer save us around $10 on ice bags, and the wife cooked up a storm in the full kitchen, price was the best around aswell.

We parked next to the beach and saw the sunrise over the water, no hassel, no worries, no hostels.

had a awesome time, me some great people, and had a ball in the campervan, thanks lads from keenascampers for making our trip just that bit more special.

So where else did you go?

What were the highlights? The lowlights? The things you had to miss but would go back for?

I love the South Coast too, why not write a TA article on "travelling around OZ with a campervan"....for Inside Pages.

Love to hear a few more details.

Yes Sparky, I'm interested too as we intend to drive from Sydney all along the coast to Melbourne in the future.

Most of the backpackers i spoke to in syndey never thought of heading down the south coast.

There are a heap of really nive unspoilt spots.

If you head down the coast road from sydney to helensburg, and then onto wollongong, this strech is really nice, but then head more south into jervis bay, this is really beautiful.

Small little towns like hyams beach (Its got the whitest sand in the world) and then more south to manyana and bendelong beach, really good surf on bendy beach.

The list just goes on, ulladulla we stayed at travellers rest hostel for a night, but pretty much everynight we stayed in our campervan, on or just off the beach.

Once you get down to merimbula, and pambula, its really nice also down here, great fishing, and uncrowded waves, but the water is a little colder here.

Once you hit the VIC border, things get really quiet, and a little colder expecially in spring or winter.

I think the only way to travel is by campervan.

Public transport is non existant down there, so a campervan from sydney is the go.

The van we had made life so much easier and comfortable.

Keenascampers also gave us a 10% discount for our next campervan adventure. Not sure when ill be back, hopefully soon
