Tram tickets

Hello

I'll arrive in Tallinn at 9PM at the bus station and I need to get to Hobujaama station. Where can I get tram tickets? Do they have ticket machines in the tram / tram station?

We are flying Ryan Air to Tallinn on Oct. 1. Will it be obvious as to where the Tram is for My Apartments which is 5 blocks from Old Town ?

Are things open on Sundays like the Visitor Center?

Thank you.

Hi, Adrian! We don`t have ticket machines. If you don`t want to download an app as Oravad suggested then you can buy ticket from the tram driver. Cash only - 2 euros (mobile QR tickets are cheaper - 1 euro). If you plan using public transport more (next day or the day after) then you can buy Ühiskaart from R-kiosk and then load money on it (R-kiosk in Autobussijaam waiting hall is open Mon,Tues,Wedn,Sat 6.30-21.30; Thur,Frid 6.30-22.30; Sun 7.00-22.30).

Then you have to take tram 2 to Kopli direction or 4 Tondi direction.

But as Oravad said - it`s a short walk (about 2 km) from Autobussijaam to Hobujaama.

Hello, ticadonna!

If you take tram 4 from airport then you have to alight at Vabaduse Väljak station. It is closest tram station to Sakala 11. Then it is about 300 meters on foot.

Tallinn Tourist Information Centre is open 01. Oct – 31.Dec Mon-Sat 9 – 17 and Sunday 10 – 15. Other things - depends on the things :) Shopping centers are open, maybe some museums or other sightseeing places are not (or are closed early).

Thank you for the information. One more question please. We live in Costa Rica where we don't use warm clothes. We do have coats . Will the weather be cold Oct 1 and 2?

Yes. Not cold for us, but bitterly cold for you. Expect temperatures of less than 10°C.
