West coast vacation from an East coast family

I need help. We are planning a family vacation for parents 70th birthdays. We have 16 people ranging from college kids to a 6 year old.....8 kids in total. Looking for something to do on the West coast for one week. We have previously done San Diego and LA. We will be taking this trip during Thanksgiving week so not sure of the weather. We don't necessarily have to go to CA. Any ideas???

Hi,

Welcome to the forums. You have accidentally posted your question in the Acton,Ca. forum .which is very quiet as it is an area outside of LA and not a place where most tourists visit.

I would repost this question on the general California forum. At Thanksgiving you may want to be in the warmer desert area near Palm Springs so maybe post your question there??

You might tell folks what sorts of things you'd like to do for this vacation and then maybe they'd have other ideas for you. IF you are looking for really summery hot weather you won't find it here in California in November.

Thanks. I originally had my post set for "California", but it wouldn't allow me to post it.

Yes it will. Just ignore the error message and click it a 2nd time for the general California forum. You might also post in the Palm Springs forum since the temps will e warmer there.

I would go to one of the major cities (LA, SF, or SD), get a multi-room deal at a well located hotel, and find activities in the area. Las Vegas is not normally considered family friendly, but with multiple adults to watch kids it might be doable. You also might get a good deal on rooms in Las Vegas around Thanksgiving. Las Vegas and Palm Springs will probably have the most sun, but might not be warm. All the California coastal cities may be foggy and cool, with noon day sun.
