Outlet malls all over the country are not the bargains they used to be. I can't speak for Seattle, but there are more and more varied outlet malls in and around Los Angeles and Anaheim than in and around SF. The ones in Gilroy, Livermore, and Petaluma are all owned by the same company so similar experiences...
Around here the very best outlets are the Desert Hills outlets, but they're near Palm Springs. Right near Anaheim is the Outlets at Orange, and between Anaheim and Los Angeles are the Citadel Outlets.
Don't let the name mislead you. It's a day trip out there & back if you are staying in San Francisco.
I disagree that the Livermore center is about the same as the others. It basically stole most luxury brands from the other NorCal outlets when it opened as Paragon Outlets, which is why today it’s still very crowded and all the other NorCal outlets are not. And Desert Hills, located out at Cabazon, is even better than all of them. Unfortunately, Livermore and Cabazon are both really, really far, respectively, from SF and LA.Edited: 07 May 2018, 14:50
