How many people do you have traveling? That will be less or more depending on how large of a vehicle you need, but expect to pay around $50 one way.
cool thank you
there will be 5 adults
so around about $100 return is good
With 5 you may need a little larger vehicle, so around $60? one way. Still well worth the cost. Avoid the rush hour times, and it will be so much more pleasant rather than doing a Large Bus tour.
Keep in mind, children under 8 or 4'9" are required to have car seats in California and alot of other states. But Uber or Lyft wont supply those.Edited: 16 October 2018, 21:45
If it's your first Uber ride you will get a discount automatically applied to your first ride. If you have someone else with you that will have a smart phone and doesn't have Uber yet and they don't mind installing it on their phone, that's another first ride discount on the way back.
A larger car is what they call Uber XL. Uber X, what most people use, normally sits only up to four. Although sometimes the car can be on the large size, you never know, so don't chance it.
If you have used Uber before and want a discount, install Lyft app and you will get at least a minimum of $5 off your first ride. Usually Uber gives better first ride discounts, but something is better than nothing.
Both companies has nice and safe drivers.
You can find the usual rate for your ride in either of the apps. Just don't hit confirm or request.Edited: 16 October 2018, 22:01
What day of the week?
excellent thank you - i think this is the way to go as i hate waiting for buses and the length of time it takes to get there.
not sure what day yet probably a Thursday
If you know the opening time for a Thursday for the week or time of year someone can give you an idea of how long the ride should take.
Dont know that it really matters that much when Universal is opening, it could be 9 or 10am depending usually, or even 8am at times. You will want to avoid the rush hour traffic, and still be there at Park opening time which is the least busy time. Best advice, leave at 6am, that way you will miss most of the rush likely, and get breakfast in the area nearby, etc. till park opening time. When wanting to return to Anaheim, do that after 7pm on weekdays.
