Gula has good wine and reasonable. Made from their own vineyard and imported. The food is good also.

Just down the beach, you’ll find Argentinian Grill. Great steaks and wine. Enjoy your trip!

Ibagari and lotus at turtle crossing are great! Take the IB water taxi. Great food and ambiance at both places.

Really liked Celeste's Island Cuisine in West Bay. Or head for West End and Ginger's Caribbean Grill (especially if they've got lionfish on) or Pazzo (book first as it's tiny)

you can walk up the beach and over the Gumbalimba bridge to two very luxurious small resorts with good restaurants. both want reservations, since they are often wedding destinations. As #6 mentions, there's Ibagari as well as Lotus at Xbalanque (not Turtle Crossing). Lotus is my favorite restaurant in the Caribbean. And after sunset its lighting is breathtaking.

In West Bay, the Hangover Hut has great burgers and messy sandwiches. Great drinks, too. Beachers has good coconut shrimp. Vintage Pearl is also nice. Many varieties of wine.

If you have a chance to go to West End, Beachers has a restaurant there, too. Other "must eats" are Ginger's Caribbean Grill, *The Landing at the Beach House, *Lily Pond, *Oasis, *Passo (BYOB -- no corkage), Creole's Rotisserie Chicken, or very local Yahongreh, Jen's Island food, Anthony's Chicken, Calelu, Dos Hermanas (two sisters). Por Que No has good breakfast. The Blue Elephant is Thai food. Cannibal Cafe has good smoothies as well as lion fish tacos. The gas station has good baleadas. The new Spanish restaurant, Oleage, is a treat!

Also, MUST go to *Ibagari and/or *Xbalanque (between West End and West Bay). Ibagari is not as expensive as it looks!

* means you should make reservations. Most prices are in US dollars, except for the very local places. But they will take $ without a problem.

Happy dining and wining!

My favorite, not to be missed is Creoles Rotisserie Chicken, love this place. Beachers is always good too.
