South Africa has been my dream destination and i have been putting it off for years and finally it's going to come through. We are travelling in a party of 6 adults + 1 3 year old toddler + 1 1-year old baby. Have planned out itinerary and will like any inputs
-28 Sept (fri): Arrive cape town morning - V&A, table mountain
- 29 Sept (sat): Cape of good hope and boulders beach
- 30 Sept (sun) Robben island
-1 Oct (Mon):Swellendam, Botenbog national park
--> Any recommendations for airbnb or hotels in Swellendam, most we saw are quite old.. our budget per person per night is about 45 USD
-2 Oct (Tue) - 4 Oct (Thurs): Knysna, plettenburg, fishing
--> Any recommendations for deep sea fishing charter? Is it safe to bring our kids along?
- 5 Oct (fri) -6 Oct (Sat): Port Elizabth
- 7 Oct (sun) - 8 Oct (Mon): kuzuko lodge
-9 Oct (mon): Outshoorn, Cango wildlife ranch, Meerkat Adventures
-10 Oct (Tue): Montagu
-11 Oct (Wed) - 12 Oct (Thurs): Cape town
--> Any suggested Cape town accomodation and activities?
-13 Oct: morning flight home
We have tried to manage the driving timing to be about 2 -3 hours, with the exception of addo elephant national park back to oudtshoor, which is almost 5 hours. A few additional questions:
-Any must-visits in these destinations for kids?
-Is it safe to drive on garden route after sun sets?
-What is the recommended time to start in the morning? 8am?
-Any other stops which i have missed that's worth a night?
Many thanks in advance!!
