We have just come back from our second Tanzanian safari, the first in October 2012 was booked through a UK based agent to give us some degree of security but this time we felt more confident about going with a local operator.
I will do a full trip report and lodge reviews in the appropriate places but though it might be useful to anyone thinking about using Safari Infinity to post my thoughts here. From the first e-mail enquiry to the last day of the trip they have been utterly superb - friendly but professional, helpful with advice but not pushy, competitive on price and happy to accomodate my specific requests. A couple of minor technical issues with the car on the first day were dealt with efficiently and with the minimum of inconvenience to us. The car itself was impeccably presented every day and equipped with chargers, binoculars, drinks coolers and seat cushions.
The guide, Eric, deserves a special mention - on our first safari we though our guide was good but Eric was a different class. He was friendly, humorous and extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the wildlife. He was happy to do whatever we asked, even driving from Seronera to the Western Corridor and back in a day to track down the herds which were ahead of time. He also made suggestions that we hadn't thought about that added to our experience.
Overall the trip more than met our expectations, Lucia, Simon and the team at SI are clearly very passionate about the service they provide - I can thoroughly recommend Safari Infinity to anyone considering a trip to Tanzania.
