I want to visit GB in March, how can I get a visa if travelling TAP via Lisbon?
Thank you Richard. Not sure I would want to risk being deported home on landing in Bissau, as TAP may get fined for delivering passengers without visas. I might try contacting the Hon Consul by phone as my email has not been answered! However without some more definite info I am thinking of going via Ziguinchor in Senegal where I can definitely get a GB visa.
I know it was a few years ago now, but how did you end up getting a visa? Did you end up getting it through Paris? Any problems?
Hi Sand 100, on second visit in March 2013 we went from Gatwick to Lisbon and onto Osvaldo Vieira International Airport. We were able to get visas on arrival for 35 Euro. This is only for UK nationals and not for EC countries that have a Guinea Bissau embassy. Watch out for the "tip" required by the military on exit from airport - best to have some CFA or Euros ready! If you get to go to the Bijagos Archipeligo, Kere Island run by Laurant Durris and family comes highly recommended.
Thanks for that -interesting to know about the "tip" as well!
