Museum fees

Hi,

I am planning for a 5 day trip to DOHA in mid Jan. We would like to visit the Museum of Islamic arts and the National museum but the prices seem to be very higher 100QAR each.

Is this the std. price or are they higher due to the world cup and any guesses on what they would likely be in Jan?

We also noticed a Onepass which we would consider buying but wanted to check with the experts first :)

Thanks for all your help!

Regards,

The prices of Qatar Riyals 100 is not too bad considering some prices that are charged around the World. the one pass is a good idea as well, especially if your here for 5-Days and plan various visits to various locations. Prices may change after the world cup, so just monitor the website updates.

Hello, if you plan to stay you can but the one pass ticket which is 200QR and you get access to best 5 museums in Qatar for 5 days, only 1 entry each. But these are the prices..

I think 100 QAR for one museum entry ticket is quite expensive = 26 EUR or same = 26 US $.

I wouldn't like to pay such a lot of money.

Where I can get the one-pass ?

We cannot compare the price with other museum entry tickets, because most of those museums cannot be done in a day. So, I too feel the entry price is high for the Qatar National Museum.

In March, 2023 we paid 198 rials total for admission for 2 of us to both museums. We didn't buy ahead, just bought the combined tickets at the National Museum and presented the other half at the Museum of Islamic Art for free entry. Pretty sure that it would work the other way around too.

That fee seemed in line with entry fees elsewhere in developed countries. And was absolutely worth it! Both museums are beautifully designed and the MIA has a spectacular waterfront location. The collections are good (NMoQ) and world class (MIA). We were not expecting to be so impressed with the MIA, and were pleasantly surprised.

We know that the OP has come and gone, but thought that current info might help others.

hi all, has anyone recently been to any Doha museums and used the One Pass? I'm not sure if it's still in operation.

I went to purchase a museum ticket just now, and it offered me the One Pass. I looked into it and website says it was only valid until 31 December 2022, yet is still available for purchase in 2023. It's not a very informative website.

The website is offering 50% off at the moment, so I assume it's still in operation, but I can't see a clear end date. I will be there in September so I may hold off until sooner.

99 QAR is a great deal considering the Islamic Art Museum and National Museum are 50 QAR each on their own, both of which I intend to visit.
