hi simbeer!
can't help with Fatumaru Lodge sorry
must do's:
1. Museum at the Vanuatu Cultural Centre
(worth paying the extra for the guided tour....the music & the sandrawing are fascinating)
not open sat afternoon or sun ( I missed out 1st visit)
2.Mele Cascades
take a tour ...or organise your own transport there & then self guide or hire a guide...just do it!!!
(selfguiding means you can linger as the mood takes, a guide can give insights not immediately obvious, personal taste!!)
3.if you're a diver or a confident snorkeller ( ie don't mind deep water or swell) then book a trip to Paul's Rock or to the areas off Pangona Shores ( or both...on different days)....wow!!!
4.stop & watch sunset every night...wherever you are
in Vanuatu ( sunrise is great too but I realise this doesn't suit everyone!!!)
5.Mt Yasur was the reason we went to Vanuatu the 1st time 6 years ago....I should therefore have made this no.1 on this list!!! The Volcano & Tanna Island
were mindblowing!!! We spent most of our time there sandwiched by a couple of days in Port Vila either side.My info here is 6 years old so I'll defer to more recent visitors. ( we tried to organise a seaplane trip to Yasur this time but it wouldn't fit the 4 of us. I noticed Unity airlines do a day trip to Tanna & Yasur.....just a matter of money & time.
cheers
