Buying a phone in Hong Kong

Buying a phone in Hong Kong

If I get a phone from Hong Kong will it work in New Zealand. The Huawei Mate 20 x isn’t in New Zealand but I wanted to get it, so if I get it from Hong Kong will it work here in New Zealand?

Very very likely. But you haven't mentioned your carrier.

This site is good for being a little more sure:

PS, I don't see your phone model listed on the site yet, but if an earlier model works, it'd be even more likely the newer model would too.

Incompatibility issues are largely a thing of the past, now that even countries like USA are dropping the old CDMA technology.

Any phone made in the last few years (so anything you can realistically buy a proper shops) should work in New Zealand.
