Trucks are loaded first followed by motorcycles and lastly passengers on foot.
This ferry is the only one in Indonesia that actually leaves before the scheduled time!
Good to know if that is new timetable. It was (used to be) the other way round. The Ferry left Nusa Penida at 08:30 and arrived at Padangbai at ~ 10am then "turned round" and departed Padangbai at 11am and arrived Penida at 12:30 - only one Service.
I thought there was another public boat from Kusamba at 1300 but not big enough for large vehicles - not sure about bikes/scooters..
Piggity, for years Lonely Planet claimed falsely that the Nusa Penida ferry left from Kusamba. They have finally corrected their guidebooks.
There is a small boat to Nusa Penida run by the fishermen's cooperative which leaves at 8.30 am. It is too small to carry vehicles.
The small boat to Nusa Penida run by the fishermen's co-operative leaves from the jetty to the left of the main wharf. There is a single loket which sells tickets. It leaves about 8.30 am.
If you miss this this boat, the RoRo ferry from the main wharf takes foot passengers and leaves between 8.30 am to 9.30 am and between 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm.
Thanks for all the information!
I need to go to Nusa Penida from Gili Trawangan but idk which route is easier and cheaper. I have checked the price ticket from Gili Trawangan to Nusa penida, the Bluewater Express and other companies in their website are quite expensive. So I thought it would be cheaper if I go from Nusa penida to Padangbai and same day Padangbai to Nusa Penida. Is it possible?
