Castles / Sighisoara - from Brasov

Hi, will be travelling to Brasov in early May.

Planning to visit Bran castle and Rasnov fortress from Brasov (and maybe Sinaia monastery/Peles castle – either as a complete tour or on a separate day), we have Saturday, Sunday and most of Monday in Brasov – what’s the best way of visiting these? Is it easy enough to do these on public transport or are there any recommended tours that are worth using?

Also considering visiting Sighisoara – is this do-able as a day trip and again is it easier to do via public transport or as a tour?

Trying to keep costs fairly low but don’t mind spending a little bit more for a tour that will save us time etc. though don’t want to be herded round without a proper good look round each place.

Many thanks for your help!

If you would want to do them all (Peles and Rasnov+Bran) in one day you should consider a tour.

Otherwise they can be done easily by public transport on separate days: there are minibuses almost every half hour to Bran (via Rasnov), as well as hourly trains and minibuses to Sinaia.

Sighisoara can be done by public transport fairly easy too, there are minibuses approximately every two hours plus several trains.
