The Caesars DL is smaller than the Ballys DL, but similar in overall quality. Like Ballys, Caesars DL overlooks the boardwalk. The food is comparable, the service is comparable, and for us the overall experience is comparable. Ballys, being much larger, has a larger bar with a great waterview, and has a larger seating area. Caesars DL is off the second floor casino area and so is easier to access.

A1~ Caesar's is fine for a CR on the rocks! Overlooking the ocean, we have

sat there for a while to unwind when we are by the boardwalk. Actually sat at the bar one New Year's Eve. Only went to Bally"s once and thought the service was much slower.

Hello,

I just made diamond status recently and have never been to any HET diamond lounge.

My questions are:

1. Is the food served buffet style or are you seated on a table and have to order from a waiter?

2. How many times are you allowed to enter a DL during the day? Can I have lunch for example at Caesars and then dinner at Bally's? Is there a limit to the number of times you can enter a particular casino's DL?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Harrah's as you know does not have any view amenity, and overall has an inferior decor and room layout as compared to the DL at both Caesars and Ballys. In terms of food, I think Harrah's has a better selection, although for what it is (a freebie meal with great drinks) I am generally satisfied with the food at Caesars..

caesars has lately switched over at lunch to pizza and a slightly more extensive salad bar, with small sandwiches. the pizza's good, but they are apparently no longer serving a hot entree at lunch.

>>Is the food served buffet style...<<

the food is served buffet style. a server will bring you your drinks.

>>How many times are you allowed to enter a DL during the day?<<

a diamond member can enter the lounge (with one guest) as many times a day as they like, and can do so at each property they visit. some properties allow additional guests, but usually charge a minimum of $25 for the privilege.

technically, entry is based on your play, and they reserve the right to refuse you entry, but i've never seen it done... as i said in another thread awhile back, that rule was created mainly for some locals who were eating at the DLs every day, but not really playing.

be aware that if you visit a casino to eat at the DL, they will swipe your card and that will activate a "gaming day" at that casino. this may affect your ADT and future offers from that casino, if you don't play there that day.

I can't say I was ever enthralled by the food at the Diamond Lounges. I always felt it was subpar buffet personally.

For me it was always to park a nongambling traveling companion who could drink to their hearts content, read or watch a game. The food was a nonissue.

Ballys is large and great view. Caesars smaller - only their once. Showboat I do not recall. Harrahs for some reason always a line - food selection seemed better for free food - if I was paying I would be unimpressed.

Also check hours - they vary and arent too late.

In a pinch, free is free ........

im sure the caesars dl will work just fine for what we will use it for.

since we usually stay at harrahs when we do go to caesars its usually with me folowing my wife as she makes a mad dash to the pier shops with me (with hangover) in tow.

policies vary from property to property, but if you don't have comp dollars, they actually WILL take cash, but i doubt anybody does this. (then again, if you plan to have four or five or eight drinks, it might make sense.)
