Hi,

I posted this question in the Bali forum and was advised to post it here too.

I plan to travel to Bali from the UK with my husband and 2 older teenagers in July 2025. I have had a quote from Trailfinders and it seems so expensive for them to put the package together.

My rough itinerary will be:

5 nights Ubud

Fly to Flores

2 Night Boat tour Komodo Islands

Fly back to Bali

4 nights Sanur

Looking at hotels on Booking.com I think I can get the costs much lower if I do it all myself. My only worry is organising transfers/ day trips /boat tout (Komodo Island) without the back up of a tour operator. How is is this to do? Are the boat companies in the Komodo Islands reliable?

Any thoughts or recommendations would be great, thank you
