Initially they asked for 25 Euro, but were fine when we asked or Meter. Driver even stopped on the way and bought us Ice Creams and cans of coke at his expense.
In the end he stayed there free of charge for a few hours to take us back for 200 Lira return. Gave him 220 upon return for his good Service.
That sounds more expensive to me at first blush than it does when doing the math. For example, 60 TL converts to about 10 pound sterling, if my calc is correct. Or am I missing something?
200 Lira is approx. £32 right now. You will have to remember that it is an approx. 45 minute drive each way. Good Value to me, especially as we had 2 kids with us.Edited: 19 July 2018, 16:22
Often negotiating a return fare as you did is advantageous especially when you have children with you! Many taxi drivers will also offer this to places such as Side, Perge, Aspendos, the Waterfalls etc. Very often works out cheaper than excursion prices especially if there are two or more of you.
