Turkish bank account

Currently here in Marmaris and while watching the football it was said that a Turkish bank account will yield 10% interest and £100000 deposits will give you citizenship. What’s the truth and experience of others.

Off back to bar !!

Think it's more than that to get citizenship! May get you a long term resident permit!

It's grown from the current higher interest rate here. There is citizenship available for big investors but I mean big.

It’s not aimed at anyone. It was simply a question. A Brit in the bar is buying a flat here and said effectly what my question asks

Jimbo with that type of money one would not be buying a flat ( apartment ) as in any country i assume a tax number is needed and also a address to open a bank account.

Clare is probably more knowledgeable than myself in these matters.

Ask this guy again for more information

I'll try to find a link. Phew if I had that sort of money I wouldn't be buying a flat in Marmaris (or any other tourist place) but a beautiful house somewhere!

Even here in İstanbul it would get me somewhere really exclusive :o)
