Lake Toya

Me and my family (2 kids 7 & 11) will be making a 7 days Hokkaido tour in late Dec.

On Dec 20, we will be moving from Hakadate to Noboribetsu (by train) and staying the Noboribetsu for 2 nights.

We wish to visit Lake Toya and looking at the following options:

1) Stop-by Lake Toya on our Hako-Nobo journey. This is viable if there is luggage storage amenities in Toyako train station. Any????

2) Put up a night in Lake Toya and one night in Nobo, instead of 2.

3) Day trip from Nobo to Lake Toya on Dec 21.

Really appreciate urgent thoughts from everyone.

Thank you.

All 3 options are feasible. There are coin lockers in Toya rail station, not too many though!

My personal favour is to stay a night in Toya-ko for a more relaxing visit. Lake scenery there is beautiful and even without the evening firework during winter time the place really deserves an overnight stay.

be sure to drop by the windsor hotel Toya, it is a sight to behold (if you aren't staying there, that is)🕵
