Transit Visa Question for Moscow SVO Airport

I have a connecting flight at SVO of less than 24 hours duration and my understanding is that I do NOT need to obtain a transit Visa for this period of time.

However I wish to stay at the Capsule Hotel V-Express which is at the airport.

I'm confused as to whether I'll need a transit Visa for this since it appears that the hotel is directly connected to the airport?

Anybody with any experience on this would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you.

Correct if both your flights are in terminals D-E-F. Not so sure about C.

Take note that V-Express operates TWO separate hotels at SVO: one in the train station building on the land side which does require a visa, another right in the sterile zone of one of the terminals. When booking a room, make sure to indicate that you wish to stay where Edward Snowden stayed.

Then you might consider Novotel SVO. They have a block of "visa free" rooms, you will be escorted there and back.

Please do some reading up on nature of stay at Novotel. From some more negatives posts, I think I would opt for one inside airport where at least you can wander around shops in transit zone (if I am recalling this correctly). Sounds like once you get escorted to Novotel, you are very restricted.

In the Novotel you are restricted to your room with shower, TV and room service only. You cannot go out...
