How much it coasts to transfer from an island to another by taking the sea plane ???
Can you start by telling us which islands you mean?
The price will depend on which island you're visiting, but will be in the region of $350 to $550 per person for a return trip.
I'm going to Kandima resort and according to the booking website, I'll use the sea plane from the airport to the resort
Nothing about the price is written so that's why I'm asking
Are you sure it is a seaplane transfer and not a domestic flight + boat? I just saw that on the Kandima Resort web site.Edited: 06 July 2017, 04:00
Purely Maldives has an excellent website with transfer information for resorts. The information they provide is:
"Seaplane transfers to Kandima are $578 per adult and $368 per child (2 - 11.99 years). Alternatively you can opt for a Domestic Flight and Speedboat transfer for $368 per adult and $305 per child, round trip"
Sorry for bothering you by asking
But now I'm confused ! And really need to know about the domestic flight price
Placitasgirl has given you some agent guide prices but if you have booked Kandima through an online booker then you will need to contact Kandima directly to give them your international flight times. They will then give you the price for the transfer options which are available to you. You will pay the resort directly for the transfers.
There is a different cost for the 2 transfer types, but also the seaplanes only fly in daylight hours. Both transfers leave from the airport island (Velana, MLE).
With seaplanes, there is no schedule but are arranged the night before with a rough loading and routing which can change. Domestic transfers are normal prop planes with wheels which land on runways . But they have a (sort of) schedule with advance flight departure times
If you are booking domestic transfer by yourself, you have options. TMA or Maldivian.
TMA is expensive compare to Maldivian.
Please check Maldivian website for rates. nearest airport to kadinma is Kudahuvadhoo airport.
