Iguassu falls current entrance fees

Hi, my daughter and I are taking a tour to the Brazilian side of Iguassu falls. We need to pay our own entrance fees. Can anyone tell me the current price for the tickets....do you pay upon arrival or can we buy in advance online? It will be for 1 adult and 1 child aged 10. Many thanks!

Hi,

You can buy the tickets online or directly at the entrance of the park. The tickets price is 65 Rs for an adult and 10 Rs for a child (with age below 12). I prefer buying tickets on the spot because it is more flexible for me.

I think Monte gave you the official website which you can buy online or normally not many lines )except holidays) so you can buy at the entrance.

Here is a page from the official site and has maps and info. (First page has tab for English

annanidonnchadha: The currency in Brazil is the real (pl. reais), the only legal tender in the country. You can't use U.S. dollars (or any other foreign currency) in Brazil to make payments.

The real is pronounced “hey-AL.” The plural form reais is pronounced “hey-EYES." The word means both royal and real.

The symbol for the real is R$.

In written prices, cents (centavos, pronounced “sen-TAH-vus”) are indicated by commas, while thousands and millions are indicated by periods:

R$ 75,00 (also R$ 75) is 75 reais.

R$ 0,59 is 59 centavos.

R$ 97,75 is 97 reais and 75 centavos.

R$ 1.600,00 (or R$ 1.600) is one thousand six hundred reais.

You can pay cash in local currency - R$ - or by debit or credit card.
