Where else in Guanacaste?

Where else in Guanacaste?

We are a couple in our 40s and will be traveling late November to early December this year.

We have booked near Playa Samara for 7 nights at the beginning of our tip and Bahia del Sol Hotel near Playa Flamingo for the last 4 nights closer to Liberia Airport.

There are still 5 days to fill in the middle! We would rather stay one place for those 5 days. Where would be nice?

We will do some day trips and activities but mainly want to relax, eat, sleep, drink, and laze on the beach.

Anne...fgreat idea some nice sleeps...and relax...

I love your idea...About 45 minutes from Samara is Nosara beach...and next to Nosara is Playa Ostional...one of the best places in my country to see SEA TURTLES...amybe nice to drive there and spend some nights there.

Another great option can be to drive to Rincon de la Vieja Volcano...check Hotel Hacienda Guachipelin...great place and great area...a lot of soft adventure tours...or just relax...and is only 45 minutes from LIR

If you don't mind a 3.5 to 4 hour drive from Samara, Montezuma would be a good option. Since it's in the middle of your trip you probably wouldn't mind driving a little farther compared to arrival and departure.

Some information on Montezuma:

Here's a video showing the cute little town and the nice beach:

There are a lot of activities to do in the area as well as relaxing on the beach or in the town.

The no brainer is to go inland to Arenal. Nothing7more relaxing than hot springs in the rain forest.

It's off the beaten path and not cheap, but Rio Perdido offers not only geothermal pools but a geothermal river.
