Picnic?

Hi,

Just curious for peoples opinions...

Is it worth taking a picnic in a cool bag to the beach. I remember from last year there is a snack bar on the beach but wondered if anyone took their own food/drinks to the beach?

If yes...Where is a good place to but sandwiches/rolls etc?

Thanks

Hi,

We took, fresh bread, cheese triangles ( not the slices they melt too quickly), lovely fresh tomatoes and some crisps. all bought from the supermarket on the way to the beach.

Took a sharp knife on holiday with us.

Kept it all the food wrapped up in the bags in the shade along with the water.

Lovely fresh lunch for four adults for less than £5. My sister and hubby were on a tight budget. Have to say, I just love those Turkish loaves that you see stood up in the cabinets. Always check that it has been delivered fresh on the morning. We by two loaves and eat half each! It does seem very light though. The tomatoes out in Turkey taste so much better than here.

Roll on the 29th when we fly out again!

Sarah xx
