Days Inn or Motel 6 West?

Trying to decide between the 2 hotels. Both are around $50 a night. Days Inn is a little more out of the main town but it's a 2 star hotel. We have a car- is there generally parking in town when dining and shopping?

Thanks for your help in advance!

Day's inn is a little nicer. But Motel 6 West is in walking distance of everything. Parking usually isn't a problem if it is downtown park one block up or in the Rail road depot and walk.

Have you thought about one of the indie motels? I am going in mid April and am staing at one for about $56 on a Saturday night.

We stayed at Motel 6 West last June for two nights whie visiting the Grand Canyon. The pool are wasn't the greatest - it could have used a fresh coat of paint, but my kids enjoyed it one night. We were only at the hotel in the morning and then again at night to go to bed. There is a really nice Safeway grocery store within walking distance. It has a Starbucks inside of it! It is also right on the main drag and is really close to a lot of restaurnts (if you are up to waling a little ways). We really enjoyed the Pine Country Inn for dinner. GREAT homeade pies! We didn't drive our car around too much, we just walked. There seemed to be plently of parking around. Old Smokey's is GREAT for breakfast.
