Sleepy Hollow RV Park, Winterhaven CA

I am curious if anyone has stayed here or has any RECENT information as well.

Address is:

369 Algodones Road, Winterhaven, CA, 92283

(760) 572-5101

I called the above number today --

$150/wk incl everything; $350/mo + elec. – no deposit.

I asked re Verizon coverage - he said in some parts yes, some no.

He said there is WIFI.

We have a 30 foot motor coach and I got the idea from the conversation if you have a large coach to call to be sure they can accommodate your needs.

I realize your question is from several months ago but wanted to let you know that we were just there for 2 weeks the end of Feb/first of March. I used my Verizon WiFi modem & was able to use the internet with no problem. There is WiFi in the office building but they charge for that & the building only seems to be open during regular business hours. Even though it's not a fancy RV park we were comfortable and we liked that it was right next to the parking lot for going across the border. We would absolutely go back again. We paid $50 per week with no hookups. We have a generator for charging cell phones, etc. And there's a dump station right there so didn't need the sewer connection. We were in a truck with 10 ft camper but there were many large motor homes in the park.

My husband and I go to Algodones twice a year to have our teeth cleaned. We get all of our prescriptions there also. On my Nexum alone I save hundreds of dollars a year. I have been going to Algodones since 2000 and have never be disappointed. One word of warning, don't buy the jewelry it's all fake or a cheap replica. Their purses are made well enough to last for a couple years so I only get them in Algodones.

Passports are required and you can only get 90 days supply of meds and only one bottle of booze every 30 days per person. When you go through the check point they make a notation in the computer of what you got so if you go back across within the time period they know what you bought. I saw them take a ladies meds from her because she bought her meds before the 90 days was up.

We ended up going to Sleepy Hollow and stayed there until mid-March. We stayed in the area that offers hookups and we also paid for WIFI (as it was cheaper than my Verizon MIFI over the period we were there). We spoke with literally hundreds of people who had been crossing over to Algodones for years (decades in many cases)... and many have stayed at Sleepy Hollow.

It is nothing fancy -- it is not a resort -- but we loved being there and whenever in the Yuma area that is where we will stay.
