"On The Beach Service" available anywhere?

I'm searching for a day use hotel or restaurant or SOMETHING where I can come during the day and sit on the beach and get food/drink service and maybe even facility use like pool/parking.

Like in Mexico! You can sit on the beach under a palapa and a guy will bring you Coronas and fish tacos all day long! WHY don't we have that in CA?? Is it cuz of California Coastal Commission nonsense? Someone could make some serious bank if they offered this!!

Looking for this at any OC beaches from South Newport down to San Clemente. I know of the ones at Hotel Laguna Beach, Montage, Hyatt in Huntington... any lil hidden gems or secrets??

First of all, beaches in California are public and NONE in Southern California allow alcohol on the beach. The large hotels will provide beach chairs, towels, etc and some will set them up for you. But if you want drinks and food you need to go back onto the hotel property.

The no alcohol laws have been in place for many decades and are enacted by City Ordinances and State Park Regulations. The Coastal Commission is not "nonsense." It is what saved us from having the beaches completely blocked off by development.

Let's keep this travel-related and not political by bringing up the CA coastal commission - otherwise this thread will get shut down.

Yes, beaches are public, at least to the high tide line, so it isn't practical to set up any sort of semi-permanent seating on the beaches in front of most hotels - not enough private space and hotels aren't allowed to claim public space for their guests' exclusive use. And as mentioned, its illegal to have alcohol on most beaches, so that would put a damper on beach service any place that had the space to do it - without alcohol sales, its hard for that business model to be profitable. Beachfront hotels with patio space overlooking the beach will often have food and drink service on the patio, but not the feet-in-the-sand-beer-in-hand experience.

Unfortunately, no. Not a single one. If you want to live a Corona commercial, you have to go to the home of Corona. (It's illegal to take alcohol onto the beach in Mexico too, but the law is universally flouted and only enforced when the police feel like making life difficult.)

This is not Mexico.

NO alcohol ,no smoking, no vendors, no massages etc. right out on the beach.

People play volleyball, surf, walk, swim, lay out, picnic but no one sells anything or brings you anything to eat or drink.
