You pay it. They will track you down through your rental company if they have not already. The other option may be traffic school. There are some that are totally online. If you received the ticket in a jurisdiction that allows traffic school that is your other option.

It is very easy to avoid these tickets! The intersections with cameras are marked so you can see there is one. Do NOT go through yellow lights.

STOP and wait for a green light. THEN you won't have to deal with the prob because IF you get a ticket YES, you pay it!!

Yes people do pay the tickets. People also obey traffic laws. It's a strange city.

Here's a part of the article...

>>Drivers who sign moving-violation citations issued on the scene by police officers promise to deal with the ticket, but the photo tickets were mailed to the registered owner of the vehicle caught on camera. Those owners never made such a promise and might not have been behind the wheel when the photo was taken.<<

...so if I get one of those "photo ticket" requesting for payment, I'll say NO THANK YOU.

The city of Pasadena is also stopping the program.

pasadenastarnews.com/ci_20727285/pasadena-re…

>>Since motorists received their tickets in the mail and didn't sign an agreement to appear in court at the time of the citation, they could not be bound to show up or pay the fine, the court decided.<<

" The court decided" So if these cities are collecting "fines" illegally, they should not only stop the practice but also REFUND the monies they've acquired out of this program.

Any lawyers out there ... I smell class-action lawsuit.

If you don't pay, I am sure that the rental company will supply your info to the police. If you try to go back into the US you could get a nasty welcome at the airport. You would have to pay the fine and a loading as well. We had a $275 fine for an open beer can (empty) and paid online when we got home. The dollar dropped a bit and I actually saved $10 on the payment.

Just pay it, it's not worth the hassle you may get next visit.
