I heard that someone had a beautiful garden at their Montecito home that was sometimes open to the public. Lots of succulants, etc. I believe it was a Sunset Magazine feature. Does anyone know anything about it?

Not sure, but I Googled and found a link that might be helpful until the truly knowledgable arrive:

There is a list of gardens you can visit, and one is called "Montecito Water District Xeriscape Demonstration Garden."

Hope that helps for now.

I think you're wondering about Lotusland, former home of Ganna Walska. See their website at: http://www.lotusland.org/

You do need to make reservations to visit, and their website says they're closed until Feb05.

I believe you are thinking of the incomparable 'Lotus Land'. You will find it with a quick google.
