The Giant Sequoia Grove in Runnign Springs,CA

Did you know that there is a grove of Giant Sequoias somewhere in Running Springs,CA? When I was a child my Grandmother often took me to see them...they do not naturally occur in the San Bernardino Mts. but seem to be doing well... I believe that the grove was planted by Gardners...Anyone have information on their health and or history?

They are part of the Heaps Peak Arboretum and were planted after a fire in the 1930s. They are healthy and should be mature in about 1000 years or so.
