Casinos - slots in/near San Jose??

I will be visiting San Jose in a few weeks and have been trying to locate any and all casinos nearby. So far all I've found are card shops, no slot machines, etc. Can anyone tell me what the closest casinos with slot machines are? We will be staying near Great America. Thanks!

There aren't any Indian reservations in, near, or even remotely close to San Jose, so you aren't going to find any slots. Sorry!

There is Bay 101 off of Highway 101 near the airport and there is also Garden Casino (?) on Saratoga. But other than that, I go to Tahoe or Vegas to gamble. Sorry can't be of much help.

Ok, But I think Bay 101 and Garden don't have slots, right? From what I read it was just card games.

Gambling like slot machines and roulette and games of pure chance are illegal in California. The only exception is on tribal reservations where the local tribe has jurisdiction.

Since the state government of the time was careful to locate the reservations well away from any commercially valuable real estate, you won't find slot machines near any California urban centers.

The closest casino with slot machines would probably be Cache Creek, about 2 hours away by car.

Bummer. Ok, thanks all for the input. Surprising. I thought CA was a "liberal" state. :)

I thought Nevada and New Jersey were the only states that allowed gambling (not on Indian reservations)?
