Bachelorette Party

Planning a bachelorette party for the end of March or beginning of April 2011. The group is approximately 8-10 girls in their mid to late twenties. We're looking to go wine tasting, have a nice dinner and go out to the bars. Any suggestions? Bars? Restaurants? Companies for wine tours? Would like a company that will pick up our group at a hotel or house.

Santa Barbara is a great place for a bachelorette party.

For wine tours, I'll make two recommendations. If you like Jeep Tours, Cloud Climbers has a great tour with lunch. Another suggestion would be Santa Barbara Adventure Company's Tasty Wine and Cupcake Tour - includes a full cupcake tasting with wine pairings. (This is my husband's company).

For dinner, I might suggest Holdrens (steak house on State Street with full bar), Arigato (sushi on State Street), Milk and Honey (tapas with full bar and good specialty drinks), and Roy (good food, open late and full bar).

There are lots of great bars on State Street. I am sure you will have agreat time. Be safe, Have fun!

Start the afternoon wine tasting -- Santa Barbara Winery is great for groups - they are downtown SB - just a couple of blocks from the beach.

Dinner Pierre Lafond Wine Bistro on State Street - casual, good fresh food - big open space which is good for groups - you don't feel squished in a corner.-- close to all the bars. EOS is good for drinks, dancing.

You should also take a look at http://www.eossantabarbara.com they are a nightclub & transportation company rolled into one. They have a great package running where you go on a wine tour during the day and then at night you get VIP treatment at their nightclub "EOS Lounge" in Santa Barbara. Ask for Bianca she will hook you up with a great deal!

I'd recommend Coastal Concierge. Nice to work with, incredibly professional. They'll take you to wineries you are interested in seeing or suggest some if you don't have any favorites. We have used Matt as our guide before and he was incredibly gracious. They set up lunch for us while we were tasting and it was a great day overall.

Yes, a few of you are about 6 months too late. If you want to promote your own business I think you should identify your business. Not sure it's permitted by TA, but at least it's upfront and honest.

Great suggestions by SBSuz, you may also want to check out Blue Agave (lots of bachloette parties seem to go there) and the Canary hotel (hip rooftop lounge).
