Best centrally located hotels in Denver?

I am looking for suggestions on hotels that are centrally located in Denver. Never been to the city before and I am not even sure what part of town has the most to do/is best to stay at.

Thanks for your help!

Anyplace downtown or Lodo works great. What is the budget?

It'd say no more than $150 a night.

Thanks!

Look on denver.org for hotel specials.

The Curtis, The Magnolia, Hotel Monaco, Comfort Inn Downtown.

The Sheraton on 16th.

Look at Denver.org... there is a special rate for the Hilton Garden inn that is in a fine location that includes parking and breakfast.

I'd agree with alli. Hilton Garden Inn is very well located and reasonably priced. I stayed there about a year ago; the rooms are very spacious and the higher floors have good views. It's a few minutes walk to 16th Street where you can get on the free shuttle bus which goes the whole length.

Denver isn't a big place and you can comfortably walk to most of the museums, galleries and attractions in the centre. There is a tourist information office on 16th St and they are helpful with bookings and advice if you haven't made up your mind what to do by the time you get there.
