Glenwood Springs for the weekend with kids...

Hello,

We are taking 2 six year olds and one 14 year old to Glenwood Springs for a weekend (March 19th). We are going to the Glenwood caverns (love the coupon deals!). Any other advice on:

What to do with our 2nd day - the hot springs?

Advice for fun family dinner place?

Advice for "date" dinner (when we have a babysitter up there)?

Thank you!

The hot springs are a must do! Great pool and fun for all! Family dinner at Glenwood Canyon Brewpub www.glenwoodcanyon.com/ I've never had a fancy meal in Glenwood so can't help on that

to me the two must do's are the hot springs pool and Glenwood Caverns. The Brewpub looked nice (near the hot springs) but we didn't make it there.

The hot dogs up at the Caverns may cost $6 which seemed crazy but they are quite large to my surprise so it worked ok, otherwise you can bring your own food and save $ they have a ton of picnic tables up there, shaded under a canopy.

The food at the caverns was quite good and pretty reasonable, portions on the kid's menu were large so your six year olds may be able to share if they are light eaters. Also great views down the valley from the dining room. In March it may be a little chilly for outdoor picnics since it is at altitude and still winterish. Dress in layers, and be sure to do the 4-D theater there - so much fun. The hot springs is a great idea - the world's largest natural hot springs pool and also with killer views of the snow capped mountains. For a special dinner I like the Rivers restaurant - http://www.theriversrestaurant.com/index.htm is the link. There is also a printable coupon there. Very nice atmosphere, special menu. Hope you all have a great time.
