Lost luggage in Terminal 5 ???

Long sad story but my luggage and I were separated on an Air Canada flight between toronto and London. I was on my way to a cruise and despite many phone calls and promises from Air Canada the luggage never caught up with me. NOW I am on my way home to the states. Air Canada called and told me that my luggage is in Terminal 5. I have asked them for greater detail but it is a call center and the person just kept saying terminal 5. I know Air Canada flies from Terminal 2, so this makes no sense to me.

Anyone have any thoughts as where I should go in terminal 5, is there some large luggage center there for Air Canada? I am fliying home on United which does leave from terminal 2 so I will have to run around at the airport to get the bag from 5 and go to check in on 2. I don't trust air canada so I don't want them to move it from where it is in storage. ideas most welcome.

This is actually the Forum fro the small town of Heathrow, Fl , USA , near Orlando, not for the airport in the UK. Airports don't have their own forums on Trip Advisor. Maybe if you post in the London Forum or the Air Travel Forum, someone will know the answer,.
