Fishing from a bridge??

Do you need a license to fish from a pier/bridge/your dock if you are a visitor/tourist? Catching the size and species that are allowed & for personal consumption only?

Yes, nowadays everyone has to have a license no matter where they are fishing from. It used to be you could fish from shore or a dock without one but the rules have changed. Here is the link to the visitors info on licenses. You can buy them online or wait till you get to your destination and buy it either at the tackle store or K-Mart.

Call that number and they give you a code. Keep that code # on you with your drivers license when fishing or even with fishing equipment near.

You will need a license. The best way to get a fishing license is to call: 1-888-347-4356

You'll need a peice of paper, a pen or pencil, your VISA card, and about 10 minutes.

You can call now and get your license for specific dates in the future, or you can wait until the morning that you go fishing, and call and get your license.

BOTH options are equally good and acceptable as far as the FWC is concerned.
