Will be spending one day on Tybee on the way to Hilton Head. Does anyone have any suggestions for the best seafood restaurant, or any restaurant. Family of four, two teens. Thanks in advance.

We want you back!!
I sure want to be back!!!
We enjoyed Stingrays the best during our visit in October (I posted a review) and we also enjoyed the Crab Shack. But McElwees......................no. We had been there three years ago and enjoyed it but once was enough this year. The dining room was in a bad state, droopy ceiling tiles, dirty window sills. The pitcher of beer somehow managed to stay lukewarm even with the fancy container with ice inside. Our shrimp was good but our raw oysters were skimpy. At other places we have been given 13 instead of 12 when they are that small. The waitresses were indifferent. Usually you get the feeling that they want you to stay and have another round. Not there. We DID enjoy Bubba's. It is tourist-y, but the grilled oysters are really good. Service is not so hot, but if you go for the oysters and some tea for your lunch, its worth the trip.
AJ's is great. Get there just a little early and you can be seated on the deck. It has something for everyone. If you're not into steamed & boiled seafood, their menu accomodates. I've eaten there on two different trips and would definitely go again.
Guys... I think that this guy is back from his vacation already! He started this thread in June! I would love to get a follow up from him to see where he went and how he liked the island.
The Crab Shack. The food is excellent and the ambiance is unique. Combined, this is the choice!
