Skokie Hampton Inn to Millenium Park

We are staying at the Hampton Inn in Skokie for a family wedding and want to get 14 people downtown to Millenium Park and a Chicago Architecture Foundation boat tour on Friday, August 28th. We would prefer to take public transportation downtown and wondered if that is an option. Our plan is to go to the Park first and then go on a 2 or 3:00 boat tour. Any recommendations for transportation to and from downtown Chicago? Also, any good ideas for lunch in the area around Millenium Park?

Your hotel has a shuttle that can take you to the CTA yellow line train station in Skokie. You'll take the yellow line train to Howard and transfer to a red line train to take you downtown. Get off at Lake St. Walk east on Lake St across Michigan Ave to MP.

Lots of dining options nearby. www.chicagoreader.com has a good dining search tool.
