Boston to PT

I am in Boston for my job and considering going to PT for the day. I don't have a vehicle but could possibly rent one rather cheaply. I am staying near Boston Univ. What are my options to get to PT and the pros and cons of each? Lastly, I like Martha's Vineyard is PT similar? Thanks

Provincetown is very different from MV and other places on the Cape.

To get to Ptown from Boston, you can take a boat (Baystate Cruise Company or Boston Harbor Cruises).

You can drive or you can take a bus to Hyannis and switch to a bus to Ptown.

If you do not mind driving I would do that so you can stop at other places such as some of the National Seashore sites.

The easiest way to get from Boston to Provicetown would be to take the ferry. It only takes 90 minutes and as long as do not want to stop anywhere else it is the best way.

Provincetown is nothing at all like Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket.

The Chamber of Commerce motto used to be "Like Nowhere Else."
