Whale Watching--Early Sept

We plan to be on the Cape about Sept 8.

Is this a good time to see whales?

How long ahead do we need to book for the boat trip at this time of year?

You should be able to just go up and board. It is after Labor Day so there should be no problem but you could always call ahead and ask.

You never want to book a water-based activity more than a day or two in advance .... After you see the weather report. Choppy seas + seasick passengers = miserable whale watching experience.
