Beach during cherry festival

We are planning to go beach by Open space/Clinch park on Friday July 6 to relax and swim. How crowding will it be at the beach on that day and what are your advice about going to that beach?

It will be crowded. If you have a car, you can get out of town and find far quieter beaches if you're worried about crowds. Anything along the Leelanau Peninsula should be scenic and far less crowded.

If you are in town and this is your beach, it's quite nice. Enjoy it! You'll be able to find a space, especially if you go in the morning or the early evening. Midday it will be quite crowded but it's still a nice spot to swim and read a book.
