Snorkeling/Spear Fishing

We are hoping to visit Troncones in late June. We are very interested in some scuba diving, snorkeling, and even spear fishing.

How is the vis in late June?

Can you snorkel off the beach there?

Has anyone had any luck with spear fishing?

I imagine you would need to hire a scuba tour guide - along with tanks and gear, etc. Is there a good place to inquire?

Has anyone had any luck fishing off the beach? Either fly fishing or regular rod?

Thank you!

Hola! I would think the visibility close in would be pretty poor in Troncones. You likely could get much better visibility on a scuba trip. I would suggest Frederic with www.meroadventure.com. Check out his site. I have not been spear fishing but have seen people with slings. I have probably cast a line out 100+ times and not caught a fish BUT, I do know many catch them. I would wander around to where the rocks are and take extra gear (in case you catch one of said rocks). Have a great trip!
