tennis in st. louis

Hoyfriend and I are planning a trip to St. Louis on Sunday, Sept. 20 - Tuesday, 22nd, 2009. Monday morning, I have to visit a few clients and he will be at hotel. He wants to play tennis on Monday while I work. Only have 1 car and I will need it. Can someone suggest a nice hotel ($100 price range) that has tennis court within walking distance or quick bus ride? Hotel can be in St. Louis or Fairview Hts/Bellevile area. Thanks.

Hotels in Clayton are near Shaw Park, which has nice public tennis courts...

Agree that Shaw Park is a good possibility. Forest Park also has courts, but they are right in the middle of the park, so I'm not sure about taking a bus...taxi, yes.

You might have a hard time finding a $100 hotel in Clayton. The Drury Forest Park might be in your range. It would be maybe a mile to walk to tennis courts.

If you stay in Chesterfield (Drury Plaza or Doubletree), you might be able to take a bus to Faust Park, which has courts.
