I know that these are sister hotels, but is one better than the other? We are going the 3rd-7th of January. The Venetian is offering an offer for 25% off with a free view upgrade. Seems like a good offer.
Is one preferable over the other?
Thanks!

The cheapest is preferable. They are basically one huge hotel and you go back and forth without even knowing you left one or the other for the most part.
I prefer the Venetian, but make sure you stay in the Venetian tower, the venezia tower is a real pain. Sometimes the Venetian gets too busy, and we'll go over to the Palazzo because it's much quieter and less packed. You will enjoy both.
The Palazzo is currently remodeling the casino floor. It is half boarded up. They are adding marble floors. This does not effect the rooms/suites. I was told this will be going on until Summer 2018.
What the others said, and I'll add Palazzo is taller, so if you are big on a high floor room, you have a better chance there.
You can get the same offer from Palazzo if you sign up for their offers - that is a current offer.
The standard rooms at Palazzo are about 50 square feet larger. It would be hard to tell the difference. The casino at Venetian is much more active.
Yes the 25% offer is their normal offer. You will get it all the time, and it's still pretty expensive.
I wouldn't pay it.
Edited: 7 years agoI agree with Placebets. We stayed at Palazzo on our first trip and the transition from Venetian to Palazzo is so seamless on the shared levels you may not even always know which one you're technically in.
Palazzo is a slightly newer property and rooms are a tiny bit bigger. Venetian rooms were supposedly recently renovated and it's closer to center strip. But it's really six of one, a half dozen of the other. They're both really nice, don't overthink it. If one is cheaper than the other for some reason, choose that one.
We have stayed at both, though not recently. Did them almost back to back, but Palazzo was New then, and slightly better for our stays.
Would say very close, with the nod (then) to Palazzo.
Good luck,
Hunt
I give Palazzo an edge because unlike Venetian which has a divider wrought-iron rail between the sleeping area and the living area, Palazzo has a wall with a wide marbled counter that actually makes a great place for drinks, snacks, clothes, etc.. I stayed there in July as an upgrade from my Venetian reservation and I was pleased.
