Stoney's Rockin Country

Going there on a Thursday night for the first time next month with 6 in our group and have a couple of questions...

We probably won't get there until around 10pm, will there be a queue by then? I understand that its ladies night and will be busy, so we'd like to avoid any queues if possible.

We are thinking of reserving a table, but want to be close to the action and not in some isolated VIP area - can anyone recommend a good spot to reserve?

I haven't been, but looking at their website, it looks like "The VIP" puts you overlooking the stage and dance floor, which sounds nice.

I'd love to learn a little more about this place. I'm interested in checking it out on our trip this summer. I love country music.

Okay this is the place John Rich (of Big and Rich and Lonestar fame) has an ownership stake in. That guy knows how to throw a party! I bet it’s a fun place.

I’d check out the seating area known as The Chute, which is right by all the action. I don’t know how busy it will be, but I’d send an email to the contact on the website and ask. It looks like a lot of the seating is reserved (boooh!). Good luck!

@ Darren: "John Rich (of Big and Rich and Lonestar fame) " Is there any such fame? I had to google these to see what they were!

To each his/her own. Enjoy!!

Stoneys was my favorite place to go when I lived in Vegas after Gilleys closed. I haven’t been in years, but I hear it’s still a good time.

Stoneys is not owned by John Rich he owns the redneck riviera at Bally’s Grand Bazaar shops. (“Stoney” use to run the original Gilleys)

Although, I heard a few months ago it’s closing soon?

Gilleys at TI is also fun, not as good as Stoneys it the original Gilleys but still a good night.

ETA if I recall I don’t think there’s really any bad VIP seating areas.
