Voodoo Lounge - Avoiding Cover Charge

It's been a few years since we went to Voodoo Lounge so thinking of heading there next trip. Last time I printed out some passes for free entry but they do not seem to be available now.

We just want to head up and have a drink at the outdoor bar and take in the view from the patio/deck for a while. It is likely to be early on a Friday/Saturday, perhaps 8-9 pm.

Can anyone advise on how I can get me and Mrs T up there without paying a cover charge. I am Diamond status at HET, Mrs T is not. Thanks.

If you eat there... it's free. Why not just make a reservation to eat there?

I guess you could have a drink at the bar and then decide you don't want to eat after all. Or you could try going to the TR counter and asking for a pass.

You will often see people handing out passes in the casino and they also have them stacked next to the tills in the gift shops.

We were there this past Sunday night shortly before midnight, and there was someone at the top of the escalator handing out free passes. The LVA book also has a pass for VooDoo admission for two.

Thanks for the replies. I thought HET Diamond status gave free admission but not sure if that covers 2 people. Also not sure whether it is a question of just flashing the card or using it to get passes in advance. Can anyone comment?

It's been a couple of years since I have been there, but I thought you could just go up early without a pass say around 6:00 or 7:00 pm. We have usually done this for drinks at sunset without planning to stay much later. Usually at that time there are very few people and the view is sepctacular.

Do you now need a pass to do this? Or worse, have to pay cover?

agree with others- no problem getting free passes- were were in the casino on two different early evenings and were given passes both times! the view is amazing - sunset is a great time. drinks are expensive!

Just showing the Diamond Card is all you should need. And it covers a guest as well. At least it did when we used it 2 years ago!
