Are Kids allowed in bars/lounges if they serve meals ?

If we have children with us can we only drink alcohol in restaurants or can we also drink in bars that serve meals as well ?

Also does the Bellagio still ban non resident children ?

Virtually all bars/lounges require you to be 21 to enter, irrespective of whether food is served. There may be one or two places that kids can go into but not many.

I've no idea if that Bellagio ban is still in place. Providing your kids are well behaved I wouldn't worry about it as I don't believe it was ever strictly policed. I've certainly never heard of anybody's kids being asked to leave, either in person or on this forum.

Children are not allowed in bars or lounges.

There are always children in the Bellagio-especially the conservatory. I can't remember the last time I saw that sign posted or anyone at the entrance stopping people with children from entering.

Children are allowed in restaurants, but not bars.

This is America - establishments cannot bar children from public areas where age-related activities (i.e., gambling, drinking) are not occurring.

The ban was not on children but on strollers. That was a Steve Wynn rule and ended when he sold the property.

As for children in bars it is generally ok if the bar is part of a restaurant. And yes the bar needs to serve food.

Children are not allowed in bars. You must be 21 to be in a bar. Even bar areas of restaurants restrict children. That's one reason restaurant bar areas are separated from the restaurant. Toby Keith's has a bar area and restaurant area - and my recollection is that kids are not allowed to sit in the bar area.

Most bar area's I have been to allow kids, like Red Lobsters and Applebee's allow kids to sit in the bar area. Before Wisconsin's smoking ban if a parent smoked, kids had to sit in the bar area if the parents want to smoke.

Nevada's laws are much more restrictive than Wisconsin's when it comes to kids in bar areas. Bars are clearly posted as no one under 21.

Laws vary by state -- in Wisconsin, parents can order alcohol for their minor children. This is truly not the case in Nevada.

Casino properties are especially careful about keeping kids out of bar and gaming areas because violations could cost them large fines and repeated violations could cause them to lose their gaming license.

I couldn't believe that when we moved to Wisconsin, that you can legally serve your own kid alcohol at any age in your home, and order them a drink in a restaurant. Shows you how liberal this state is. We don't fit in here at all and can't wait to move, ugh.

Why move? Does the law require you to serve alcohol to your kids?
